Fees and Costs

There is never a fee for an initial consultation. We encourage clients and prospective clients to come to us for advice and an analysis of their legal rights and responsibilities. The attorneys at Larrimore & Farnish are experts in many different areas of the law, but if your particular problem is outside of our areas of concentration, we will be glad to refer you to other attorneys who could handle your particular legal needs.

In personal injury claims, most of our clients ask us to represent them on a contingent fee basis. Victims of traumatic accidents frequently are not prepared to pay in advance for the investigatory or court costs required for handling an injury claim. The lack of substantial savings, the loss of a monthly income caused by a lengthy disability, or other financial constraints prevent many prospective clients from paying the type of hourly fees that corporations and insurance carriers are able to pay to their counsel.

A contingent fee agreement allows such individuals to have high quality legal representation without incurring an up-front retainer or monthly out-of-pocket expenses for legal fees. If for some reason we are not able to successfully recover money for your claim, you will not owe our firm anything for our legal services on your behalf.

Under a contingent fee contract with our firm, we only collect a fee if we make a recovery for you. Larrimore & Farnish will advance the expenses of investigating and litigating your claim. When our firm obtains money for you, through settlement or trial, the expenses are repaid to the law firm and the legal fee is deducted at that time. Upon conclusion of any contingent fee matter, you receive a written statement fully stating the recovery, all expenses and fees, and showing the remittance to you. And, of course, you receive a check, never a bill for legal services.

The attorneys at Larrimore & Farnish also have experience in handling legal matters other than personal injury claims. Contact us if you have any questions about the scope of our representation and we will be glad to discuss your legal problems with you. There is never a charge for the initial meeting and discussion and we will fully discuss our legal fees with you during the initial consultation.

Larrimore & Farnish promises to be fair and up front with you about legal fees and the costs of litigation. We promise that we will fully discuss the rate of fees in advance and our fees will be set forth clearly, and in writing, before you are ever obligated to our firm for any fees for our legal services.
